A 'plus beaux villages de France. A lovely town steeped in history, a bustling weekly market, glorious river beachs and many bars & restaurants.

Lac Jemaye

A large 'lake beach' situated within 50,000 hectares of La Forêt de la Double. An ideal day out for children and adults of all ages. With water sports, nature walks, hiking trails, a play area and snack bar. Supervised swimming during July and August.

Voie-Vert 
Saint-Pardoux-la-Rivière to Thiviers

This 'green way' is a great day out by foot or by bike. A shaded and flat 17km route (34k loop) along an old railway line. Located about an hour from Le Gélibert

About 100km from Le Gélibert  you will find the caves and visitor centre. Travel back 20,000 years as you learn more about this UNESCO word heritage site. Booking recommended.

Situated less than 10 mins from Le Gélibert is Canoë Ribérac. Whether it's a half an hour in a pedalo or a full days canoe adventure you will certainly have fun on the water in Ribérac .

Périgueux

Dordogne's attractive capital and only 42km from Le Gélibert. Roman ruins, Renaissance mansions as well as boutique shopping and fine dining. 2000 yrs of history in the 'old town'  flanked by modern retail parks on the outskirts. An absolute must visit!

Bergerac

Less than 60km away Bergerac sits on the banks of the river Dordogne. A picturesque  medieval town dating back to the 14th Century a delightful place and well worth a visit. Less than 10km from Bergerac sits the the Château de Monbazillac estate - perfect for wine lovers.

Ribérac 

Only 6.5km from Le Gélibert you will find a quiet town with bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The town comes alive every Friday for the largest market in the Périgord, with an abundance of local produce. Park slightly outside the town centre and don't forget your shopping bag !

St-Emillion

A beautiful medieval town only 70km from Le Gelibert. Steeped in both history and wine making this is gem at the very heart of the Bordeaux wine making area and is a UNESCO world heritage site.
